I get the “artist's perspective" being one myself, as a player covering many genres and guitar stylings, as a producer having composition, arranging, player sensibilities along with the technical understanding of how to put things together.

I can organize people and workflow to get efficiency out of all involved in a given context relative to the technical capacity of the recording environment

Ultimately, organizing a session around making the players comfortable then nets the best performances, which ultimately serves the artist's vision.
